M1 Motorway - Kirby Muxloe Presentation Submitted

IMPORTANT NEWS
There was a presentation detailing the proposed widening of
the M1 Motorway, at Kirby Muxloe Parish Hall today Friday
7th April - from 14:00 (2pm) until 20:00 (8pm)
Visitors to this presentation were told that all properties
within 300 Mtrs of the motorway should have been advised of
this event by letter.
People living in Kirby Muxloe were apparently notified in
advance. But not so for most of the people living adjacent
to the A47 bridge. Our volunteers have delivered a few brochures
this evening, out of a sense of duty to the community.
Please pass the word on.
Apparently, the plan involves Moving the A47 Bridge and widening
the M1 Motorway to six lanes in each direction at this point.
This will affect many people in LFE, not to mention the disruption
to traffic flow during the works. But as far as I've been
able to discover, hardly anyone in Leicester Forest East was
notified !
WHY WAS THIS?
