The absence of any representatives from Leicester Forest
East and Kirby Muxloe Parish Councils was noted.
1.Odours being emitted by the factory during cooking process.
Trials have been completed during February / March at DC Norris
with the proposed new extraction unit with the ingredients
with the strongest odours. Those present from Samworths and
the LFE residents group agreed that there was a big improvement.

A second trial took took place on 10th March 06 where samples
were taken for analysis and results are awaited It was agreed
that the system should be trialed at Saladworks under production
conditions where samples will be taken for analysis.

3. Litter & bins
The bins are now being emptied on a regular basis and have
been added to the
cleaning / checking schedule to ensure compliance
4. Dog waste bins / Clean streets initiative signs
Dog waste bins have not yet been installed by BDC, The Clean
streets initiative
signs have been erected
5. Footpath Quotations for hard surfacing of the footpaths
have not yet been received to enable a decision to be made
6. Vandalism
The bridge over the stream was damaged and reported to the
local police Samworths repaired the bridge to its normal state
The incident will be raised at the next LFE Parish meeting
