Forest went to Amptill feeling happy after the first four games
of the season, but after the full time whistle blew Forest wished
they stayed on the bus.
From the very first kick off Forest were under pressure, with
Amptill throwing everything they had into a Forest side that
looked sheepish and shy.
When Forest kicked for touch they had no chasers, when they
tackled it was in ones and not effective. When Forest did have
the ball they gave it away cheaply and from this Amptill quickly
scored in the corner.
Forest kicked off and Amptill came back, with Forest looking
like they'd rather be at home watching a DVD, this was pretty
much the case throughout the whole game.
Fifteen minutes left to go in the first half and winger Arrogance
was sin binned; a dubious decision i must add which summed up
the ref's game. Whilst in the bin Amptill scored three more
tries to go in to the half, 28 nil up and pretty much game over.
There's not much to say about the second half because it was
much the same as the first.
We saw the Forest of the last four weeks emerge in the last
ten minutes, but it was too late by then.
Congratulations to Amptill on a good game and a well executed
plan. We look forward to seeing them in the second half of the
season at home.
Forest will have to wake up for next weeks game against Banbury,
but from looking at all the embarrassed faces they should put
in a 100% at training this week and give a 150% in front of
the Forest supporters
TRY: Liam Warren his first for the first team.
